Faye Lorente Shyllon
Paintings and drawings shaped by place, pattern and Andalusian memory.
A practice shaped by architecture, rhythm and memory
Faye Lorente Shyllon is an artist living and working in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Her work explores a semi abstract visual language developed through observation, memory and her connection to Andalucía.
Working across painting and drawing, Faye uses charcoal, pencil, marker pen, paint and stencils to create layered works that move between structure and instinct. Repeated motifs, architectural forms, domestic grilles, mangoes, banana leaves and details from flamenco dress appear throughout her practice.
